For this project, our client wanted a home to be "future-proof, sustainable and cost effective from an energy perspective," but was told that solar installations would be difficult and inefficient due to the curved dormer on the roof.
The shape of this roof made traditional solar options unviable, so when the homeowners came across Roofit.Solar on Grand Designs, they were directed to Smartly Solar as the UK partner. We designed a system that incorporated panels onto the areas around the curved dormer, and because the base material is the same as the non-solar areas of the roof, it blends in seamlessly.
The renovated roof now features 95 Roofit.Solar panels, and we are proud to have delivered an efficient solar energy solution, with a sleek, cohesive design that overcame an unusual challenge.
